Zesty Guacamole

Love fresh GUACAMOLE, This looks so good! The mortar and pestle are beautiful.

Can I Eat Now?

Yesterday was National Guacamole Day. How I am just hearing about this I will never know. This simple recipe is full of fresh ingredients and just a little bit of spice. The lemon adds a zesty and  refreshing take on a tried-and-true classic dip. Eat with chips, or on a taco, or eat it like me… with a spoon.

Zesty Guacamole


2 ripe, medium avocados
4 cloves of garlic, minced (or use your garlic press)
1 tsp minced jalapeño (to reduce heat remove seeds and ribs)
1/2 tsp salt
1 dash cumin
1/4 cup diced white onion
1/2 roma tomato, chopped (prior to chopping, scoop out seeds and discard)
2 TBSP cilantro leaves, rough chopped
Juice of one lemon
